Usually I wake up in the middle of the night thinking about my clients, their cases, and how we can help those who have trusted us with the ultimate privilege of being their lawyer. Now, my middle of the night wake-ups include worrying about the global COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on all of us.
I wanted to let you know that our firm met and devised a plan to address how we can continue to serve the needs of our clients and how we can continue to assist potential new clients and take on new matters. And I wanted to let you that we are ready to adapt as circumstances change daily. We have the technology and infrastructure to continue operations without interruption.
Our firm is operating and has regular business hours. All four members of the firm are working full time. Sarah, Eli, and Colleen are working remotely with full capabilities to assist you. When you call, your call will be directed to Colleen for assistance, as usual. If you receive our voicemail it means our lines are full so if you leave a message one of us will call you back shortly.
I have received a lot of phone calls over the past few days from individuals and business owners asking questions about the federal, state, and local government announcements and decisions. People are asking me about their cases, new matters, their rights and obligations under the law, and ultimately, about how everything affects employment, and each of us, individually. I wanted to let you know that I am personally returning these calls and will continue to do my best to do so.
Over the next few weeks I will also be reaching out to many of our clients personally with a phone call, email, or letter to discuss their legal matters and any concerns.
Colleen, Eli, Sarah, and I are reachable and available to assist you with your employment law needs during these scary and trying times. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any concerns about your ongoing or potential matter. I will do my best to ensure that we respond timely and answer your important questions.
Please stay well and be safe. Thank you.
